Yūgen Night Cream

Yūgen is a word for beauty too deep to be said. It is the moon behind clouds, the foot of a mountain seen through evening mist. The old playwrights sought it in every scene. This cream seeks it in your skin. At night, while the guard of day rests, the Kyoto atelier's second formula works below the surface. Rice ferment, the same gentle alchemy that makes sake, loosens the knots of old cells. Yuzu oil carries the scent of winter kitchens. Sake kasu, pressed by a brewery four hundred years old, feeds the skin its first real meal of the day. By morning the mist has lifted, and the face is quietly different.

Kōgei Cream, 50 ml

Sake kasu from a Kyoto brewery founded sixteen twenty five, collected the same week it is pressed. Rice ferment cultured in the atelier's own cellar. Yuzu from Kochi, cold pressed. Everything blended in small copper vessels, aged one moon in ceramic, then jarred by hand. Forty jars a month, never more.

Each night, the last thing the skin receives. Warm a pearl between two fingertips, press it in slowly, breathe once, sleep. The moon takes the rest.
